Rolex the height of luxury

I like so many others am mad about my watches. I have owned several TAG Heur and Omega watches but the pinnacle of any watch connosiuer is to own a Rolex watch. It opitimisies luxury and the craft and workmanship that goes into every watch is sublime.
A little Rolex History

Rolex and indeed the Rolex brand was first registered on the 15/11/1915 by Hans Wildorf, who was a pioneer in watch making. We all know that Rolex is Swiss made and indeed Switzerland is the home of many of the top exclusive watch brands such as Omega Tissot etc However Rolex did have a spell when they were based in the UK but were forced to leave by the cost of silver and gold which were driving prices higher.
My journey to find my Rolex bargain

My love of Rolex watches and indeed more than that my love of finding a bargain led me to Dubai in search of a bargain. I spent several days in Dubai searching for a bargain in this duty free haven only to be disappointed. Instead what I found was Rolex have a price embargo, meaning that outlets are unable to sell below a certain price for Rolex timepeices. So no matter where in the world you shop the prices will not vary greatly. However what I did find there was an outlet who were selling genuine Rolex watches at great prices and indeed far cheaper than anywhere else. How I hear you ask if there is a price structure that cant be broken? Well these watches were for all intense and purposes brand new. However they werent. They were purchased from an individual who perhaps had one bought for his birthday or as a present which he didnt want. So no price embargo. Yes effectively they are second hand but, you have the documents and can see that they are practically new. So this in fact can save thousands of pounds.

Now when it comes to selecting your Rolex there are many shapes and sizes to fit everyones eye. However my aspiration would be to own a Rolex Daytona, in fact a Rolex Daytona Paul Newman would be the ultimate. Now all of you RolexDaytona owners out there it may well be worth your while checking your watch and seeing if it has a 4 digit reference number, such as 6238, 6239, 6240, 6241 and so on. If you do then you are sat on a small fortune.

Since Rolex inception they have been making model after model, they were the first company to introduce a watch with automatic changing date in 1945, the first to have a waterproof watch to 100m and the first to have a watch showing two timezones at once. So we can start to see and understand why Rolex watches are expensive and top of their field. (Although Omega may argue that fact).

Now if you have some spare money and think now is the time to take that step and reach one of your goals in life and purchase your own Rolex watch you have numerous different models to choose from. Here are just a few from recent times.
